Nude Nail Colors

A nude manicure can blend with your skin or stand slightly apart from it. Start by choosing that amount of contrast, then compare pink, peach, beige and brown undertones.

Find your nude by comparison, not by the label

Skin-matching or softly contrasting?

Hold a finished sample near your hand. A close match makes the color less distinct from the skin around it; a lighter or darker nude creates a visible outline. Both are valid looks, but they need different references.

Next compare the undertone. A pinkish nude can look different from peach beige even at a similar depth. If a sample seems too yellow or too pink, change that direction before choosing a lighter bottle.

Transparency changes the match

A sheer nude mixes visually with the natural nail beneath it. An opaque cover shade gives a more uniform color. Choose photographs with comparable coverage, and don't assume one shade marketed as nude will blend with every skin tone. The gallery is a set of starting points for that comparison.
