Toe Nail Colors
Choose a pedicure color with your footwear in view. Red, dark brown, white and brighter blues create different contrasts beside straps and open sandals.
Your sandals are part of the color comparison
Look at the whole foot, not just one nail
A close-up makes a small color area fill the screen. Step back when comparing pedicure references so you can see how the shade relates to footwear. Black straps, tan leather and white sandals won't frame the same polish in the same way.
Hands and toes don't have to match. A pale pink manicure can sit beside a stronger red pedicure; a muted hand color can also leave room for turquoise on the toes. Repeat one undertone if you want the two to feel connected.
Keep small details simple
A plain color gives a clearer reference than elaborate art on the smallest nails. If you want an accent, judge its scale in a full pedicure photograph. Choose the product by its color and formula rather than expecting a toe-specific shade name to guarantee a result.
